Locksmith is robbed responding to call

A locksmith responding to a call was robbed at gunpoint Saturday.

The victim drove to the parking lot of Fountain Lake Condominiums, just off of 57th Avenue East, to meet the two men who called him.

While the victim was grabbing tools to enter the vehicle, one of the suspects aimed a 9mm handgun at him, demanding his money, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The victim handed over his wallet containing $1,400. The other man stole approximately $500 worth of tools from the victim's trunk, a report stated.
